Hero of Ukraine asks to be extradited to Russia
The former head of the company “Motor Sich”, arrested in Ukraine, asked to include him in the lists for an exchange with Russia.
This is evidenced by a letter from Boguslayev to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andrei Yermak, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
The appeal is written in Russian. The arrested man signed it as a pensioner and disabled person of the 1st group.
In the cover letter of his lawyer indicated the date – March 20, 2023.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry responded to the newspaper’s inquiry about the prospects of Boguslayev’s exchange.
Ukraine will apply all available instruments in order to return its prisoners of war and illegally detained civilians from the aggressor state,” Andriy Yusov said.
Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said he did not rule out an exchange. He noted that the process might take place by analogy with Viktor Medvedchuk, who was exchanged for the Nazis who surrendered in Mariupol.
